I'm not sure which code you want me to confirm. I've been pretty busy lately and haven't seen any codes. Haven't even checked my Tivo to see if there are any codes there. There are never codes on Saturday except at bonus code events. The only one for Sunday is the TS3 Trivia Q which shows up at around 11 p.m. Sunday night and stays until about 3:30 p.m. the next day when Fox actually posts the question.

I'm pretty suspicious of that "Family Guy" code. It's not worth making me look suspicious. I wouldn't enter it if I were you guys. --Ben :bandit:

Hey fella's, I just got back from a weekend at lake Taho. Have any of you ever been? it was awsome! I missed out on my Thursday and Friday codes (no computer), but it was worth it.
I've been reading the posts, let's put aside personal differences and keep the forum about posting codes, legitimate codes that is! I want you guys to know I'm really thankful for this forum and appreciate each one of your contributions, I hope my posts benifit you all too.
Someone asked about permanent codes? There are no actual permanent codes, but there are some that are long-term; that is they don't expire on the first midnight, but usually last a couple of months or even a couple of years! I have made an effort to post these codes on a monthly basis(updated) and will continue to do so.

Personally, one of my favorite things about this forum is that it follows my policy to stick it to the man, hehe. Peace you guys.

I was actually paying close attention to the weather segment last night (which I don't usually do because the weather right now is always either hot or hotter), and the weather trivia question that Chris Saucedo gave towards the beginning of the broadcast was for a prize package of Magic Mountain tickets. But it wasn't a CP thing - you had to just go to the fox site, click on weather, and then answer the question (via email, I think.) Anyway, I was too burned out from the first day of classes to get up off my a** and go try it, but they announced the winner later in the broadcast - so it was definitely more of an "instant win" type situation, not a CP code/get points deal.

On the weather page, after you submit your answer to the trivia, it says to go get your couch potato points when the flow is slow. But I still haven't seen one posted to answer in the CP trivia. Didn't know if it was just me or everyone...was hoping SOMEONE was getting points for it 'L'. How they pick a winner from the emails..I have NO idea...was also hoping someone knew that. The tix for "Cellular" went at noon. If the Resident Evil tix go up normally, I would expect them to go on Tuesday 9/7 (Because that's the next day Fred will be in studio to tell us when they're going up) unless he's there Monday.

Yes, STICKS was the only code on Page 112 (or whatever it is for you), but check one page back & You'll see that POCKETwas the FITM Code, LOVEY was the Hornblower Code, Rich Aurilia was the trivia answer, REPEAT was the UPN Code, BBQ was the Fox evening Code, and then STICKS.

I personally think it's not the golf2004 code that is the problem. Sometimes the man gets lucky, he sees or hears something that tips him off and they check it out.

Sucks though, eh? I think there are lots of us that have gotten busted for whatever reason. I know I have. Not with Fox, but with KYXY--lol-- twice. :cheers:

Hello All,

I want to apologize for posting that GOLF2004 code! I think Jontas was right, it was a poison code, although I can not be sure. For some reason, I don't think everyone who put it in lost their points, only some. I got it from the Fatwallet forum and did not look at how new the members were that posted it. I am deeply sorry if I jeopardized any one of your accounts. One of my friends lost 100,000 points over this as well, and someone at Fatwallet lost 40,000 points over the same code.

Apparently, this happened the exact same way last year with the same F***ing :censored: event! I will drive to Stadium Golf Center today and get the correct code and the bonus codes if I can, and will get them to you guys by no later than Thursday.

I will continue to post here (In an effort to further 'Stick It To The Man' and to help you guys) and I thank everyone for doing such a good job getting codes. Let's keep on confirming posts (especially bonus codes) from new members and we'll all be okay.

I got the email from Fox dumping me, too. I lost just enough points to have finally qualified for the ten percent off coupon at the hair salon (boo hoo), so I have way less to mourn than poor bendogg.

While no one can be certain, I think it was the golf2004 code, too.

BTW, I just thought to try posting to the forum from my laptop, which obviously works, but I still can't post from my desktop and haven't been able to figure out what's wrong (and neither can the folks at Apex.) No improvement since installing Service Pack 2, either.

Anyway, so long, farewell, arivaderci. I've been wasting too much time trying to get something worthwhile out of the CP program, so I'm going to take their booting me as a blessing and move on with my life.

For those of you who used the golf2004 code and still have your acount or points, count your lucky stars. The fact is that was the poison code, just like krusty before. I will neither confirm nor deny loosing my points, in fact you will probably not see me post anything about how many points I have, how I spend them, or what I win again.

Some pointers:
1. Do not disclose personal information related to your Couch Potato account on this forum, FOX is watching (perhaps even participating).
2. Personal info or discussion should happen in private messages between you and other forum members.
3. Only post a code if you see it yourself, only confirm a code if you see it yourself.
4. Do not post a code from another forum unless that code has been confirmed by a Senior member on that forum.
5. Test all codes before you post them, make sure you get your points in green letters or a green confirmation box that says "Congratulations".
6. Do not compete to see who can post their code first, if somebody beat you, you can always confirm.
7. Listen to seniour members, you can trust their experience and they usually know what's best.
8. If this sounds paranoid or ridiculous to you, please refrain from making posts on our forum. You put the rest of us in jepordy.

Does anyone have anything else to add?
I will make an effort to compose a solid list of unofficial rules and post it soon, it will incorporate some of the points I just made and a post I made a while back, all imput will help. Post safely people.

The one I would emphasize the most is to not disclose any winnings you may have obtained.

Maybe it's just me but doesn't having hundreds of thousands of points make you look suspicious enough already, without belonging to a forum?.

What would be a "safe-zone" where you you can be sure of being able to buy a spontaneous expensive item while not going back to zero, and not having so many that you bring the eyes of the administrators in your direction?

Man, it really sucks to hear that this could happen to the best of the best on this forum. I hope the lesson is learned that there is no such thing as being too paranoid when it comes to this forum.

I think the problem last year came from early entry of the code.

The code was correct but was posted before the golf center had officially given it out. The poster said she "guessed" it.

Possibly this is the case this year and would explain why some of you still have your points.

I saw it personally. I called Jontas as I was leaving. I said I was going over there to see for myself and I did. The CORRECT 500-point code is

GOLFERS. I Swear on my life. I'm just kicking myself for not stopping by earlier to confirm it for myself before posting it and jeopardizing many accounts including mine.

I don't think I'm even going to tuoch this code, even though it is legit. I want to minizize the damage here and not draw any more suspicion to myself by Fox.
