No luck getting Bolts tix. I got down there at 9:30 a.m. and there were already 2,300 wristbands given out. Considering there were only between 3,500 and 10,000 tix available, the numbers were not in my favor. I'll get tickets the day of the game as I always do :)

My experience is email codes are only good for that week until the next code comes out.

I for one am not paranoid about the new servers Fox is putting up. I'm hoping it'll speed up of log-in process and make entering codes quicker. How many times have we sat there waiting and waiting to see if a code is confirmined.

Now, for those of you who many still be paranoid if they would have the ability to track your isp account: First of all at least run Zone Alarm on your computer for a firewall. Second, if you're so inclined go behind a proxy server. Since I'm still rather new here and not sure what is allowed, I have a link to a free proxy server site that if anyone pm's me I'd be happy to share. When you go behind a proxy server you need to know how to modify Tools/Internet Options/Connections/LAN Settings, then click to allow proxy servers and then enter the proxy address and port. Sound confusing? It's not really once you learn. Sometimes it's kind of cool. When I'm behind a proxy let's say from Austrailia and then I do a google search, it comes up with really interesting web-sites not just the ones you get here in the U.S. Such as news that is happening around the world that the major networks don't report.

Bottom Line: I vote YES on new servers.:thumbup:

However, Zone Alarm is something EVERY computer should have anyway. The firewall in XP SP2 is okay, but if you want a real, personal firewall, Zone Alarm is the way to go (and the free version is fine for most people.)

I'll see about setting up a separate thread so that people can discuss it, although you can also go to a place like experts-exchange.com (include the dash!) for more help on that and other computer problems. [I think they still have a free version; if not, you can also try carobit.com]

I just tried the surgi-eye.com website to get a new code, but it's still "cornea"

I guess they don't change it on the 1st of the month but rather the 1st business day.

Also, I just entered "none" in all the fields (and [email protected] in the e-mail) and it worked just fine at giving me the code. Hopefully the same next time. Of course, if you WANT them to contact you then enter real info.

I can confirm CLUTTER and The Gurus Guide to Serenity .

One thing I noticed was that the code entry adjusts your point total immediately, but a correct trivia answer does not. The points are in your account, but you must click on free stuff, or enter another code to see the point balance go up. I was credited for everything this morning.

I guess they're not going to post the TS3 trivia question. I read over the rules and didn't really see any difference except for that you only get one chance to enter the code business. The site is lightning fast (yeah!) and the clock is more accurate. Happy Ney Year all! --Ben Dogg :bandit:

The reason that FW became too 'business-like' was because everytime we posted something that was not related to the topic (i.e. fun and BS), the post would be deleted and then we would receive a PM from a moderator telling us that we posted something that was off-topic. boo...the movie tickets are usually gone within one minute after posting, and Fred Saxon usually indicates the day and time that they'll appear in his FITM segment. It's usually at 10am, noon, 4pm or 7pm, but could be other times. Usually someone will post the info here in case you missed it.

oh...and they're usually 2000 points--pretty cheap for a pair of soon-to-be-released movies

I hate to take up the space again, but as per Dogopoly's request, here are some rules or standards that should help out you new people:

4. Test all codes before you post them.
- Make sure you get your points in green letters (Trivia) or a green confirmation box (codes) that says "Congratulations".
- Make sure the spelling is correct once you post it, everybody makes mistakes, buy some mistakes could cost us all our points.
- Do not compete to see who can post their code first, if somebody beat you, you can always confirm.
- Red means stop (no posting the code whatsoever), sometimes the code is correct and FOX6 will reward you those points later with an email confirmation. By then it's usually too late to post that code, but we cannot afford to post the code under any uncertain conditions.

5. Listen to Senior members and respect fellow members.
- Senior members have alot of experience, which you can trust, and they usually know what's best. They have tons of great advice too.
- Provoking or belittling other members is unacceptable, if you can't respect and show basic curtisy to other people, you should not be participating in any forum - let alone this one.
- If this sounds paranoid or ridiculous to you, please refrain from making posts on our forum. You put the rest of us in jepordy.

6. Be specific about the source of the code.
- In addition to posting the code, give a source. For example FITM (Fox in the mornig), Simpson code, upn13 code, Fox6 10pm (News at 10pm), Special event (name the event) code, Internet code, etc.
- If you just post a code without a source, you will recive suspicion or even hostility from other members.
