Aye! The night I finally beat Peachie, Heartbreaker sneaks up on me! Good job HB. My excuse is the length of the word. I knew I souldn't have goofed off so much in typing class! Thanks for the review info Dogopoly. I thought the movie was pretty good with good acting, but I'm not really a boxing fan. It was a heavy film. I gave it a B+. --Ben Dogg

Did anyone catch Saxon's review of this movie this morning? I saw it Tues. and want to know what he thought. I accidentally taped over it tonight :disa: If you can remember, how many stars did he give it and what was his overall opinion of it? Thanks

Greetings Ben;

Dogopoly is right. Fred gave it four solid stars!! He loved it. Fred's a hard one to please, so this must be pretty good. Ben - What did you think of the show?

Good luck with your little ones GG. Maybe its all the rain, but it seems like everyone is hanging on to colds a bit longer than normal this season.

Strange, its not morning. Why am I on this computer... ? Going back to my cave - Night all!

New free stuff is added, at the very least, weekly.

It's a preference thing I suppose.

I do the same as you do..... if it is something i want or know the grandkids would like....i do one raffle.... I have a friend that did that with one of the raffles....put her name in it and won....out of all those people doing the raffle you have a chance also....never let a opportunity go by that you could have won with that one chance......

Me neither. I hate paying $10.25 for people's cell phones going off, people standing in front of you, all that talking, people walking in front of you knocking your drinks and popcorn over, etc. I can't stand seeing movies in theaters. However, when Episode 3 comes out, I'll have to go to opening night!

ONE ADMIT TWO PASS TO BOOGEYMAN
A young man, Tim, emotionally traumatized by memories of terrible things he experienced in his bedroom as a little boy, decides to return to the house he grew up in after the tragic death of his father to try to face his fears of that bedroom; fears of a mysterious being that could merely be a figment of his imagination that the experience might help him work out. Unless, of course, the Boogeyman is real... This movie screens Thursday February 3rd, at 7pm at the AMC MISSION VALLEY THEATRES. Seating is not guaranteed so please arrive early.

This looks good

ONE ADMIT TWO PASS TO SWIMMING UPSTREAM
Swimming Upstream tells the compelling and inspirational true story of Tony Fingleton, a young man from a troubled family who found the inner strength to become a champion. Based on Anthony Fingleton's novel of the same name and set in 1950s Brisbane, Australia, Swimming Upstream stars Jesse Spencer as Tony, a young man who beats the odds to become a champion swimmer in spite of his overbearing, alcoholic father (Geoffrey Rush) and long-suffering but quietly heroic mother (Judy Davis). Overshadowed in his father's eyes by his brothers, it's only when Tony displays an extraordinary swimming talent that he feels he has a shot at winning his father's heart - and maybe even Olympic gold. This movie screens Tuesday, February 1, at 7pm at Edwards Mira Mesa Stadium.

I just want to tell you my rating for Hide & Seek it was just ok.... i would never pay the money to see it...or probably even rent a tape..... I would give it a real low C or D...... Quiet a few ppl got up and left during the movie.... some ppl we walked out with, the guy said he could have stayed home and went to bed.....
I love thrillers but this one was not one to make you jump in your seat....i felt like i knew things that were going to happen before they did.....
Robert De Nero is a good actor but not for this movie.....

Sure glad it was free.... so i had to give up my 11:00 code to that show.... I am curious to see how others rate it..... I have seen a few places already have said it is a C

Today is the first day of it showing in the threaters.....

This is just my opinion.

The show airs at Midnight late Thursday, again at 10:30 p.m. Sat. on Fox and finally at 11:30 p.m. on UPN. So, the code is usually good until 11:59 p.m. Sunday. I didn't get home to check the tape until 1:45 a.m. late Sat. Oh well, it's only 200 points.

Yes, we usually check codes on the Fox site before posting them here, but I was more concerned with just getting the code since I missed it the first time I went through the tape. As someone on FW suggested, checking the code doesn't really guarantee anything as poison codes work just like legit ones. --Ben Dogg :bandit:

I didn't know there was a rule to check the code before entering it here. I've found, at least on Star, that it can take several minutes before the code is accepted. Around here, that can be the difference between being the first poster and the 5th confirmation.

Do you guys want to remove this item from the rules? If so we all need to know which rules apply and which ones don't.

4. Test all codes before you post them.
- Make sure you get your points in green letters (Trivia) or a green confirmation box (codes) that says "Congratulations".
- Make sure the spelling is correct once you post it, everybody makes mistakes, buy some mistakes could cost us all our points.
- Do not compete to see who can post their code first, if somebody beat you, you can always confirm.
- Red means stop (no posting the code whatsoever), sometimes the code is correct and FOX6 will reward you those points later with an email confirmation. By then it's usually too late to post that code, but we cannot afford to post the code under any uncertain conditions.

So maybe the new rule could be: Post it, test it, then come back and confirm your own post by editing it. (I think that's how a lot of people are already doing it.)

I always test the code before posting it. That's a really good rule for bonus codes but not really practical for daily codes that are shown on TV.

I don't know any of us seniors members here who actually test codes before posting them. I always check bonus codes, but not daily codes. I don't like your suggestion of posting, testing and confirming by editing. A few confirmations from other members is good enough.

I wish Jontas was here to comment. Only because I'd like to get this clear. From what others have posted, some ppl confirm 1st by entering the code then posting here, and others like the competition of being first here and then entering the code. For a little while I tried competing in the being first thing and then when I read that rule I quit doing that.

Personally I think I would prefer to read a post from those members that said they enter the code and get confirmation that it's a good code before posting on G|A. I now always confirm the code before posting here. Recently I got to personally meet some others who said they like to compete so from them I'd trust the codes too.

I do think it is important to watch out for the 1-post plebes though.

:stupid:

Jontas created those rules to help us out after the whole poison code incident. I believe that if any of us gets the bonus codes, those should be tested before posting. Regular daily codes don't need to be tested if they are confirmed by a few other members, and if we can get those confirmations from senior members, that'd be even better. I for one love the competition as it is a great way to have fun and (for me) make some friends in the process. As long as there are a few other people who can confirm that they have seen/heard these codes themselves, that's good enough for me.

yo guys, about the x code for it to work you have to type it in the CP site or 91X?

when i say work I mean in the X terra Contest

Gothic Girl
01-31-2005, 10:49 PM
I believe you type it into the fox6 site, but I'm not sure. I still have my email, I'll read it and let you know. Alright, here it is:

FOX 6, Mossy Nissan, and 91X want to put you behind the wheel of a brand new 2004 Nissan Xterra. Beginning Monday, January 31st, you have three ways to win: Tune in to the FOX 6 comedy block weeknights from 6- 8pm for the daily Couch Potato code. Listen to 91X and enter the code at 91x.com. Or visit any San Diego Mossy Nissan dealership and ask for the weekly code.

So it looks like you get 3 codes, one enters in on fox, one at 91x.com, and then the weekly code from the dealership...

Hope I helped clarify that for you.

For those trying to enter the codes first...
If you're watching on satellite you're going to be about 5 seconds behind the cable broadcast and I think cable is a few seconds behind antenna broadcast.

Hmm, that is interesting. But by this, Solid Snake, you should be the first to be able to put your code in if you're on the antenna. So what's your excuse now? :heh:

I tried for the new code of the month and they gave IRIS. I thought that was the code last month. When I typed it in, the autofill already had it but it also said "Congratulations! 500 points have been added to your account! "

It's also listed in my transactions as being used but worked again.

Yeah, I actually knew that but missed it. I had to pick up my nieghbor's kid from the hospital. The big dorkus was running tonight at a school near here and wasn't paying attention. Next thing he knew, WHAM right into a pole! Busted his head open and now has 6 neat little stitches. *sigh* Kids, gotta love 'em... I guess.
