I only checked the rules cause I'm bored. You don't get banned for guessing answers. You only get a point penalty for guessing an answer when the event hasn't happened yet. For example....FOX puts out a trivia question at 4am asking what Ruben had with his coffee at 6am. If you guess before they actually show what he put in his mouth you could forfit points. If after it airs you guess and get it wrong, no problem. What would be the point of a multiple choice if guessing an incorrect answer got you banned? Anyways....my pizza is here so here's the quote from the rules:

POiNTS are awarded for performing required tasks. USGS reports a small 2.1 earthquake at 10:01 11 miles from Cambria (Central California) this evening. Usually we can't feel something that small this far south but that could have been it.
