BTW have you scoped the kyxy point exchanges?
i've seen people bid 100,000 points for a $25.00 certificate or a simple oil change.

The CP server clock is the "official" time as far as items becoming available, etc. As far as I can tell, the CP clock is synched to a master time server, as it seems to be fairly accurate when looking at a time server directly.

The Fox 6 web server is completely separate from the CP server -- www.fox6.com is on a Clear Channel-owned server in Texas (and it runs Windows http://toolbar.netcraft.com/site_report?url=http://www.fox6.com! ha ha, ok I'm a Unix bigot, I'll admit it), and the clock does appear to be all over the place. CP is on a Linux box here in San Diego http://toolbar.netcraft.com/site_report?url=http://cp.fox6.com

So for items becoming available, etc., trust the CP server clock, as the website code is driven from that one.

Right now, for example, CP shows me 6:31 and Fox 6 shows me 6:37 as the time.

Although I have posted this many times before, The only prizes we know the giveaway times for are movie tickets & DVDs. Fred Saxon tells the times for that day's movie-related prizes during his segments on Tues, Wed, & Thurs at about 7:50 a.m. & 8:20 a.m.

Movie tickets usually go up a day before the screening (11 a.m. , 12 Noon, 1 p.m., or 2 p.m. usually). If the screening is on a Monday or Tuesday, the passes usually go up the Thursday before the screening. Someone from here usually posts the times that are announced on air.

Occasionally Fox announces the giveaway times for other stuff like Gulls tix in the weekly e-mail, but not often. Most other stuff goes up on the hour between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. I hope that answers your question.

I think Jontas was referring to not posting a code here that you haven't first tried in your CP account. When you enter a valid code, you get the green box saying that you have been awarded 100 points for the code XXX or whatever. If you put in a non-working code, you get the red box saying that the code is invalid or you already played it. That is what he was referring to.

We don't really use that rule here much. If the evening code was CODE and is not working, it would usually be posted as such (tonight's sports code is CODE but is not working now). Sometimes it will work in a few minutes, other times Fox will credit everyone who put it in the next morning.

Finally, quoting the whole list of rules in your reply probably wasn't necessary. It is a long list that takes up a big chunk of forum space. You may want to edit your post and just quote the first line or 2 like I did for your message when I quoted it. --Ben Dogg :wavey2:

They would never give a bruised banana to an animal there, since an animal rejecting a flawed piece of fruit might look just like a change in appetite (an important symptom to observe since they can't tell you when they aren't feeling well). :monkey:

Looks like you got half of it. The custom avatar does require a higher rank...at least higher than Lieutenant.
