It also might help to not enter Boogie-man's list of codes in the same order as they've listed.

Alright for "Hells Bells," but alas for Loretta. We couldn't afford what he really deserves anyway. Poor Sean never lived up to his potential. Watch, with the Padres luck/curse Burroughs will thrive in another team's system. Good luck to Mark! He took his opportunity in SD & went gang busters when he was pretty much a journeyman w/the Brewers et al.

GO PADRES! We need another playoff team. It was awesome in '96 & '98! 2005 was not too shabby, but bittersweet.

Thanks Hornytoad for giving us that update here. Even though this is a CP thread and not a sports thread, I was eagerly awaiting that awesome news and had slept through sports last night.

Giles and Hoffman were the 2 biggest question marks in free agency, and I'm glad to see them both back. Good riddance Burroughs! I always cringed when he came up to plate in the middle of an important rally. Loretta was a consistent Gwynn-like hitter, but that injury made 2005 a bad year for him. He will make $3.75 million next year. I don't know if it is the last year in his contract or if he's arbitration eligible next year. The UT reported that the Padres leading 2nd Base prospect is Josh Barfield, who has over 2,000 minor league at-bats and who is doing well.
