For those of you that have won raffles,
Did you purchase your entries all at once, one at a time, or what? Anyone have a theory on how to improve your odds? Oh, other than purchase a bunch of entries. I ask because last year I wanted to go to the Poinsettia Bowl, and I had purchased enough entries to get my odds to 1 in 4 (they were giving away 25 pairs or something like that), and I didn't win a set. I just wondered if anyone would like to share their theories/intuitions or superstitions on how they try to improve their odds. If you don't want to answer here you can PM me too.

I done that too, where I have been 1 in 4 chance to win and have not won, but I think this is my last year playing Couch, If they are opening it up to more than San Diego County it makes the odds too hard. Chargers tickets and the Disney tickets have both been won by non San Diego Residents.. It makes it unfair to play:umm: :banghead:

ONE TRANSPORTER DVD

Ex-Special Forces operator Frank Martin (Jason Statham) lives what seems to be a quiet life along the French Mediterranean, hiring himself out as a mercenary "transporter" who moves goods - human or otherwise - from one place to another. ONE SPEED DVD

LAPD cops Jack Traven and Harry Temple rescue a group of executives trapped in a sabotaged elevator, thus foiling mad bomber Howard Payne's ransom demands. In retaliation, Payne sets a new challenge for Traven: a bomb on a city bus which will arm itself when the bus reaches 50 mph, and which will explode if the bus drops below that speed or if any of the passengers try to escape. Reminds me of the history of Babe Ruth and Baseball. Through most of history (up until a few years ago) Babe Ruth was recognized as the greatest home run hitter of all time. Few people, however, know that he also is the all-time leader is strikeouts as well.

When you swing for the fences all the time, you have to expect that you will also miss a great amount of time.

I, like others here, love the thought of winning the big prizes...want to consider putting all the year's points towards a nice raffle prize worth $25,000. But, I have found it better to put some entries in for the big one just to be in the running, but have better luck saving my points and using them sparingly for what I call mid-size prizes...not CDs and DVDs, but tickets to normally sold out shows, or nice electronics items, etc.

If you take all the local TV and radio shows as a whole, I have been winning something nice (not DVDs and CDs or fast food meals) from them at a rate of almost once a week or once every 2 weeks.

I just really wanted Party in the Paddock tickets(but was hoping I wouldn't have to purchase them). I consider it a mid-sized prize. Normally I can't purchase items on the free stuff page, because of EXTREMELY limited internet usage at work. So I build up my points. I'll throw a couple entries into the big bang jackpots (you can't win if you don't play mentality). But for the most part it's the raffle page stuff I enter for. I agree with ABMom that it's frustrating to see people that aren't supposed to be eligible, win stuff. Or if I throw alot of potatoes into a raffle and see someone walk off with half of the tickets up for grabs.

By the way ABmom, I got the same response you did, which was no response about the sparks person, and am still waiting for my no response, response, about the Rossmoor person. They probably have me on a list of people to never win (LOL).

Folks, the code they were broadcasting was for a chance to win a 4 o'clock Fridays concert ticket to the Del Mar racetrack. Since last Friday was the last 4 o'clock Friday (the races end this week, thank goodness), there was no need to broadcast a code. I watched the Thursday night show, and there was none broadcast, because the chance is for tickets for the following week.

ROOMS4 at http://www.prg-sd.com/real_estate/buyers_prepare_market.html

Okay I'm stuck at these three for right now. For those of you who regularly search I didn't find one in the blogs section this time, which is where I expected one to be. Anyway we have 3 to start with. I have also have been checking on the California Coast CU site, and all the old codes are still at the old links(for those see pages/posts 683/#20485 and 686/#20554).

Dear Arose,
Thank you for the information, but it is customary in this forum to state your source or provide links, as Fox has put out poison codes in the past. Also you may want to look through the last several days posts to make sure you aren't reposting info that has already been put up once or twice (it makes the apex moderators angry) Alright, I figured it out, (duh), these are the prize package audio/video codes. Sunset29 the audio code for rosarito is different for me, but all the others I had previously used. Thank you again for the info.

I was only trying to help! Hope this info. is useful to someone.
