Ok, I believe I have actually posted this information before, but since y'all asked here you go. There are two distinct versions of the film that are going to be released. The theaterical version which is being releaed on 8/6 is the film as you saw it in the theater. It is being released in widescreen and full screen. If you want to wait there is the extended version of the film. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN THE THEATERICAL VERSION OF THE FILM. It is 4 discs long and being released in two versions in November. This is the version of the film as it was meant to be seen before cuts were made to make it palatable to humans short attention span.
From www.dvdspotlight.com are the descriptions of the different versions.
