as for being the "jealous type," that's a different thing altogether. hopefully he can get a grip on that before it causes damage.

i attempted to once. We went on one day. I was trying to get over my current GF, and that kinda got in the way. my gf and i got back together, so nothing ever turned out from it.
....
I think I'm dating someone at work... totally different departments though...

you THINK!?!?!?! doh.
BTW chosen... the "just being friends" only works for a while... after a few months (maybe more or less) you'll end up either having to cool it off, ot crank it up, but it'll never work for very long as just friends.

Are you not sure whether you're working for the same company or whether you guys are going out. I'll give you a hint... if your (whispers something here) then she deserves at least a meal out of it. Gotta keep up her strength after all. ;)
I'm a hypocrite on this. I believe that it is a very very bad thing to get involved with someone at work, especially if they work for you. That being said, my GF and I got involved when we were both working at the same lab. In fact, she did work for me for a while. We don't currently work together... although nothing bad came of it. We just both found better jobs, and then we both went back to school. :)

i've never dated someone who was my employee.....
in general, i think it's bad for someone who is a direct supervisor to date someone who they supervise. same thing for someone who has firing/promotion power dating someone they have power over.
but if it's a manager in one department dating a new employee in a totally different department, i say it's no foul.
just keep things friendly, and then if she quits her job you can make a move :D

lucky me i've done a great job at not getting too attracted to the two hot gals at work, especially since they're both basically engaged :eek2:

hmmm, my company's totally fine about relationships within workplace...
the managers are supposed to deal with conflict of interest, but I think there's enough diversity in jobs at my company that there doesn't always have to be a conflict of interest.

but theyre not married yet, right?
Doesn't matter IMO whether they're married or in a relationship (Note: I do NOT consider someone who is dating around to be in a relationship, just if they're serious/steady with the person they're with). If you just want to boink them, the who cares. If you want something serious, it won't work. If she can leave him for you, she can leave you for someone else. The trust wouldn't be there.

well, during work this evening i mentioned i was famished and would like to leave on time to get dinner at the diner close to work. she mentioned if i was treating everyone, and i said, sure, everyone is invited and its on me, just get there. I was serious too. i didnt care, all i know is im hungry as hell. she mentioned she was hungry too, so it was even better im treating.
well after work, it seemed that everyone else isnt going but her. walking outside she asked "this isnt going to be like a date, is it?" Im like "f##k, no! im just hungry and i want to eat, so follow my car if you want to go."
she followed. :banghead:
well, nothing happened - we just ate steak, chit-chat about sex/relationships/dating/FBs/one-night-stands (shes a freak!). She asked about my plans for the fourth, i said i may go to penn's landing to take fireworks pics. I asked her back she said she has no plans. I Mentioned a singer songwriter festival i was going to in 3 weeks, she seemed interested. After the late dinner, I paid, as i said it was my treat. She said next time it was hers. Going to the car she said she WAS interested in the festival, so i invited her to go.
We got in our cars and went home.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So... sounds like you had a nice evening with a friend, and may have another nice evening with her. What's the down side of that?

i like the girl, obviously, and the situation doesnt help me to NOT be involved in anything with her (other than professional). Im not one to shrug off a casual late dinner, or a consequent invitation to some gig, especially if its with someone im attracted to. This is like throwing a bucket of gasoline on the fire.
But look on the bright side... she's a freak!!! :naughty:
Haha, besides, chosen, if you keep it in the sac, the office shouldn't hear about it, right? right? :naughty:

Oh... I see. For me, it's the complete opposite. The best way for me to not get involved with someone is to become friends with them. That kinda draws a line for me that's really hard to cross.

Man... darn shame she moved. Personally, I could never do the FTF thing, (and not just because my GF would kill me). I do have friends that have FTFs and they all seem happy with the set-up. :D

Why? I mean I understand your predictament, but so far none of your actions would give the indication that you guys are anything but friends. It's not your desires that determine your character but your actions to them. :)

Men have two organs that control our actions, and only enough blood to fill one of them at any given moment. Nice to know that you're using the one that's higher up. :P
