Is it JUST as fast to have my hard drive connected to the raid controller and booting through that as if it were to have the hard drive connected to a regular IDE slot on the motherboard? Or is there some performance loss by it having to go through the controller. I'm using Win XP and a WD 80GB Special Edition (w/ the 8mb cache) hard drive. Mobo is MSI K3 Ultra-ARU.
