check around the wireless section of buy.com! they got some incredible deals on cell phones, especially with Cingular. I was looking to switch away from Sprint because the service has been terrible around my house lately. the Motorola V60 was my top choice, and I was planning on spending around $200 for it. instead, I just ordered it with a new Cingular plan from buy.com for $99 plus a $50 mail-in rebate. just thought I'd clue everyone in here, I've gotten some great deals and I thought maybe I could return the favor if anyone's lookin for a new phone :)

How good is the services, from AT&T, Verizon, and Cingular? I use the StarTac with At&T and it isn't that good, and CIngular was never really good. Is it much better with the V60? Or is Verizon the best, cause all my friends use Verizon and they say it's good.

all depends on the area really from what I've learned... each service has its own area where it rocks, and areas where it sucks hardcore. I guess just go with what you know to be good in your area. for me it's Cingular and AT&T, the Sprint service is shady in some places around where I live

Cingular has one of the worst customer services i have ever known. i've had their service for about a year (switching to verizon next month, thank god), and at least every other month i was calling them over a problem with my bill or service. even though they tend to have the greatest deals price-wise, the hassle is simply not worth it...

The only problem with Verizon is, their V60 cost a lot more than Cingulair's and AT&T. Dang.

the Motorola V60t for Cingular I ordered is tri-mode. only difference is it operates on TDMA rather than CDMA. seems like the CDMA phone is more expensive for some reason...

the v60 is expensive, but samsung's t300 is just as good a phone and only $150@radio shack w/activation. its not as compact as the v60 folded, but its thinner and less wide. the deal ends the 30th though, so hurry up.

Uh... I sell the v60c on Verizon for $100 w/ a $50 mail-in rebate. Your cost after rebate is $50. Many other places offer the same pricing as I do.

CDMA and TDMA are different types of wireless technology. Tri-mode is the ability to work on 3 different frequencies. i.e. A Verizon tri-mode phone is capable of 800Mhz analog/800Mhz CDMA/1900Mhz CDMA PCS.

It's ok...I had to bite the bullet and buy the V60c for Verizon for $99 after rebate. But so far I have been really happy with their service and the phone, especially compared to AT&T.
