Folks, let's join together to get Mobshop to carry PS2! They take product suggestions and if they get enough for one product, they usually sell it! All you have to do is e-mail

Won't Sony "price-fix" the PS2s like every other console manufacturer? I heard that Sony was losing $20 on every unit sold-and that they were counting on software licenses for the profit, at least for the first million or so units (until the RD/factory retooling is paid for).

i think i will stick with my outdated play station 1 for now.....am so busy looking at these casino deals and free shirts to play with my games much anyway..besides a new playstation will probably be out soon anyway.

Will Sony price fix? No, probably not. If nothing else, I think it's illegal. Plus, don't they charge their retailers "wholesale price" so they get the same amount regardless?

As for mobshop, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Sony probably isn't going to have enough units for mobshop to even attempt a group buy. Last I heard, Sony's going to have 1 million units available for the US release. I dunno how many pre-orders there are in the US, but in Japan the 1 million sold out in the first two days, so don't look for mobshop to have their hands on it any time soon.... http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif

its not still going...i tried that deal. There were only 10 or so schools that were valid. They denied me, and I am a Computer Sience major in college. I didnt go to one of the 10 or so schools...

Oh yeah, i'm definitely BUYING that game. I may or may not hold off on buying a PS2 at launch, it depends on the titles. If GT2000 comes out at launch, i'm definitely getting that! That new product BleemCast! is supposedly coming out next week, and that enhances normal PSX games...wonder how GT2 will look? In any case, right now i'm pretty much obsessed with that game "Tokyo Highway Battles 2," they have like 5 different CiViC's to start with http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ... and of course they have supra's, integra type r's, etc...even the Honda S2000 (of course GT2 has that, but the graphics are pretty weak) http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif
