I'm using IE 6 on Windows ME. Almost every time I opened a link within a window, it crashes. I deleted my cookies, temp folder, change privacy setting, nothing works. Any clues? :bawl: :bawl:

I'm using the same exact setup right now, and I'm not having any problems.
Maybe just try to re-install?

UMM
WinME <- problem
go up to win2k/xp or down to win98 but avoid WinMe at all costs!

Your OS is defective. Install 98SE, XP, Linux, anything other than ME.

I have to disagree with Hapoo and Grimm... WinME is the most stable OS I've had thus far. Maybe it only likes certain hardware configurations, but I haven't had any problems with in on 3 distinctly different shells.

I'm happy its workin' well for you but your in the minority. WinMe was one of the worst OS updates to come out of Microsoft. I've only heard of a couple people who said it worked well for them.

you're kidding me right...WinME cant possibly be the most stable OS...i can crash WinME really easily, and 2000pro has been almost impossible for me to crash >_< anyway, ME sucks really bad...and i would greatly recommend u to upgrade like the other's have told u...

Thanks, hapoo...
I seriously think it is just the hardware configuration though... I know, that is still Me's fault, but I haven't seen a reason to trash it yet. I works better on my system than Win98se did, that's all I'm saying.
Anyway, with that being said, if mysterX is having problems, then he probably should upgrade. A majority of people seem to have had problems with it, so what can I say?
Let us know how it goes, mysterX.
