Right before I go to my bi-yearly visits. I brush once per day at night. I've had one cavity in my entire life. :)

if you don't floss every day all those bacteria are gonna be partying between your teeth.

Oh, and I think I've had 3 cavities in my life, but all those teeth were baby teeth, so they are gone now and I am cavity free. A Coke a day keeps the dentist away :D.
Edit: LOL! On the dark background that smilie looks toothless. How ironic is that?

I'm a bit fanatical-at LEAST twice a day. Sometimes more often depending on what I eat. I never EVER go without dental floss in my bag or pocket.

i floss once in a while, I don't have the little tool that holds the floss so I can never get the back teeth...

i used to floss every day, but in the last year or so, i've been lazy and haven't been doing it :nono:
I don't floss at often as I should, because I have alot of teeth, and they are really close together. My gums bleed FOREVER after I floss. I do brush at least twice a day though. No cavities ever! *knock on wood*

I floss whenever I get to it. :P I do the mouthwash n' brush combo every morning, and the same before I go to bed.

Whenever I eat popcorn.
That works out to 2 or 3 times per week. Popcorn is the snack of choice in our household.

I told my dentist that and he told me that once you start flossing regularly, your gums will bleed less and less.

Thanks Passwird! I guess I'd better get into the habit.

I've heard flossing is more important than brushing...
and if you think about it...makes sense...
floss gets the junk out..
brush - just cleans the outside part of your teeth..
shrug
anyways..
I floss whenever i feel like it..
i brush whenever i feel like it..
during highschool and college - i would prolly brush a couple times a month...
now it's a couple times a week...
but I listerine every day :) - cause i feel guilty for not flossing, and i like the taste
(and i maintained a lengthy/intimate relationship in highschool so :heh: - told her near the end of the relationship - and she started forcing me to brush my teeth before any :naughty:)
flossing - eh, if i was surfing and i saw a floss thing by my computer, I'd do it every now and then...
oh, and i had cavities with my baby teeth, but no cavities with my real teeth. When I go to the dentist, they're like - you have the most incredible teeth....except you have to floss (they can tell!)
so, :)
thanks God for blessing me with awesome teeth :)

I floss daily. After seeing some seriously nasty pictures of peridontal gum disease, I got scared into flossing.
I also bought a Sonicare toothbrush and that totally changed my brushing - it's like having a party in your mouth. After using it for 3 months I went to the dentist and it was the shortest visit I ever had with the hygenist. She could find only a few bits of plaque and that was it. She told me that all her customers that use a Sonicare have very short visits.
Unlike my Dad, I plan on keeping all my teeth!

They bleed because they are inflamed due to gingivitis. Healthy gums won't bleed when you floss - it's only when the bacteria have a foothold and start causing your gums to retreat (even a little bit) that they will.
So with that argument, when you floss regularly, your gums will get much healthier and they will stop bleeding.

I used to do it once a day, then i got braces... oh man its such a pain. I do it occasionaly now, and I also have this handy schmandy Water Pik thingy.
And yes, it is true that once you start flossing regularly, your gums will eventually stop bleeding.
