I'm gonna be sitting on my ass too. hehe. probably gonna bbq at home. something small. nothing too elaborate. Have the gf over, do our own thang or maybe invite a few folks over.
At night we might cruise to PV to watch the fireworks like half of the folks from South Bay.

Taking the boat out... as usual on any day off from work. A day out on the water...
Then we'll come home, grill some steaks... have a couple of beers.
And then in the evening, put out a blanket on the front yard, and watch the fireworks. We live on a hill that looks down on the park where the fireworks are launched, so we get just as good a view from our front yard as the people in the grandstands... but with a lot less noise.

Josh will be with grandparents from 11 on. May come home in the afternoon, may not.
Scott & I will be doing yard work & house work and I'll be working on the computer. Then tomorrow night, we'll go to the zoo where the city puts off their fireworks show.

Happy 4th of July everyone. Too bad I can't be over there in the States to watch fireworks and have cookouts, but it is also MY independence day. I just spent 15 weeks completely isolated from civilization at training camp and I'm a free man starting today. What am I gonna do?? I gonna check my freakin email for chrissssake~~!!! :P
(oops..I guess it's still the 3rd over there)
Hubby is working double time, so the kids and I are going to my Mom's to celebrate her birthday, then come home and cook him a nice dinner. Fireworks are tonite, if the my kids stay awake long enough I'll take them.

Take the DW and kids to my parents' house to BBQ for my b-day (37th). Kids get to play in the pool, I grill and everyone has a great time. We've gone it at our house in the past but the heat means we can't pass up the pool.

Gotta work.
The annual Q afterwords.
Lots of food and beer.
My friends younger brother/friends have the battle for the block illegal fireworks competition.
During the "battle" her Dad comes out(a little drunk) and yells, "Whos your Daddy!" to the the competition.
Yeah the line is old but I get a good laugh out of it.

True that...but I'm living in the middle of the city right now...and that would be bad if I busted out the huge fireKrackers!!
Happy Independence Day! Now, go exercise your 2nd Amendment rights!
