I have been watching this guy for several weeks now. He is selling a full version of Photoshop 7 on half.com for $29.99. He states that he is unsure whether this software is original or not. Several of the buyers have asked for their money back and I don't know if they were successful or not: Check the feedback through the link. He posts this item several times a day. He must have made a thousand bucks by now on copied software.

sucks to be him. I wonder where he was able to get some working serials for the software. Most internet serials dont work. I am fortunate enough to have a real education version. The price tag of it kinda sucks, but it is a must have piece of software in my opinion

Fortunately, half.com does have a refund policy.
I bought what I thought was an original CD for AutoCad. When I received it, it was a copy. I complained to half.com and after several weeks , they told me to send it back to the seller. I was credited with the original amount, plus they also credited me with a nominal shipping charge.

I had a weird experience at Half.com like that -
I had a book on my 'pre-order' list, which means that as soon as someone lists one for sale, it would automatically buy it for me & charge my credit card. So I got a note that a purchase was made automatically for a book I had been looking for. I waited & waited - 30 days went by, and no book.
I sent a note to the seller - no response. Sent a couple more for good measure, still no response. I contacted Half.com, and THEY tried contacting the seller. No response. They then credited the money back to me. Couple weeks later, the book shows up in my mailbox!
So here I have the book, but Half.com already refunded me the cost. So I fire off an e-mail to the seller to see how he wants payment handled - no response. Wait a few weeks, send another message - no response.
So I don't know if this guy never checks his mail or what, but I feel kinda bad that I couldn't get his money to him.

well, you know what they say about a fool and his money.... :heh:
as for the guy selling fake/copied/blank Photoshop cds -- how pathetic! i mean, would you really want to do that for a living?
that has to be a hell of a way to pick up women. "so, what do you do?" "oh, i run a variety of scams and swindles on ebay"

the slow shipment was probably due to the book being sent media mail. I ordered 2 books one day, and amazingly the arrived within 7 days of the auction even though it was shipped media mail.
I had also contacted the sellers and never recieved any email back. I have a feeling these people who do nothing but sell on half.com dont really care about your questions or comments. They just want your money

In the long run, eating the cost and keeping both parties happy will benefit Half.com more than penalizing anyone.
