I read a tabloid over the weekend that had something about this on the cover. I just blew it off since it was a tabloid, but now cnn has the story

thats kinda scary. I dont know if i would call him a rock star. maybe a pop star, but thats far from rock.

can you imagine being him and waking up in the morning and knowing you ARE david hasselhoff

David Hasselhoff has checked himself into The Betty Ford Center for treatment of alcoholism.

The former "Baywatch" star, who turns 50 next week, issued a release Monday announcing the voluntary stay at the hospital.

"He realized his social drinking had increased more than he was comfortable with and he decided to do something about it," publicist Richard Hoffman said in a statement.

The actor checked in June 26; his representatives said they didn't know how long he would be there.

Hasselhoff's recent roles included a cameo appearance as himself in the summer comedy "The New Guy" and he performed on Broadway last year in the musical "Jekyll & Hyde."


I imagine there must be soooo much pressure on him. You know, earning all the royalties on Baywatch and Knight Rider.

i never looked at it like that. Hes probably gay though, since no straight man can be around tons of gorgeous women and not raise the tent

right, but hef just screws all the women he sees.

hasselhoff, on the other hand, had to run around on a beach, and from what i understand, it wasn't nearly as fun as it looked on tv. sure, there's babes in bikini's around, but a) you can't have them and b) you are covered in sand and sweat and trying to re-shoot some stupid scene for the 20th time.

i'd MUCH rather be a sports-illustrated swimsuit photographer :D
