I don't think it's plug 'n play. My laptop has USB floppy, and I always seem to have trouble with installing a USB device... Hmmm... Maybe.

i've installed dozens of SMC branded adaptors like this without problems. You do need to install drivers the first time, but after they are installed it is plug and play.

we bought 200 smc adaptors last summer for over 30.00 each. This is an excellent deal.
