CD/DVD headphone jack

how do i get sound to come out of the CD/DVD headphone jack? nothing comes out of these jacks.

check the back of your cd/dvd rom drive to see if u pluged the audio cable to the sound card, most of the time u can only plug one to the sound card but for DVD there is a smaller plug used for digital and it should have a spot on ur sound card as well. hope that helps ya out

turn the volume up. Audio soming out of this jack isnt processed by the soundcard. the digital audio jack is used for a digital audio capable soundcard (sb live!, audigy, etc)

the drive should have a volume control on it. You also need to have an audio cd. Audio from games and normal software sounds will n ot play using this jack
