Hi.

I have been trying to get my X-box to read CDs/CD-RWs with mp3s to load on the HD and I have had no luck. I have read on the internet several things that include "CD-Rs don't work on the X-box, but CD-RWs do" and "Very few CD-Rs can be read by the X-box and some CD-RWs can be read depending on the burning software you use. Has anyone had any luck getting their X-box to read mp3s using a specific type of media/software combo at a certain burn speed? Let me know. Thanks!

you CAN'T read ANY cd's with mp3's on them... yet. If you put a mod chip in it and have the correct software you may be able to. The xbox only reads audio cd's, and it encodes those in wma NOT mp3.
