Is there a program that will remotely turn on my computer by me entering in an ip address or something.

If your motherboard supports it, it is possible yes.

ive seen a program called shutdown manager which worked for 98 and 2k. im guessing it would work for ME as well, but it doesnt work in xp home or pro for me. the version i have only requires one app and it doesnt have any help file or about info so i dont know if its shareware, but im pretty sure its freeware. if you give me your email i can mail it to you.

i also found another program called shutdown manager (http://www.librarysmith.co.uk/sdman/) which is free for up to 5 computers, but it requires each computer to have the manager app and a client.

I have XP pro, so the programs that you mention will not work for me.
