I saw this on Techdeals.com. I checked on Pricewatch and the only 8500 video cards cheaper than this were the 8500LE and the 64MB 8500.

Here's the link: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?description=14-120-135

I'll be putting this in my computer and moving my 7500 to my son's computer. He'll appreciate it because he's now running a Voodoo 4 4500, which is a little slow on some games.

I know that Circuit City is offering the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 8500DV 64MB DDR for $149, but that's after two $50 rebates. I hate rebates since I've been burned on several in the past. I'd rather pay the lowest price up front and be done with it.

Great price on a ATI card.

If you dont need it right now than wait a while. I think people

should wait one or two months. The ati 9700 card will force

nvidia to lower their prices. Tech always lowers every month but

for once nvidia is way behind ATI. Ti4200 will hopefully be around

this price, well worth a 1-2 month wait.

I've always had certain spending limits on computer components. I don't want to spend over $150 on a video card. So far I haven't, and I don't think I will in the future.

My video card upgrades have been: Diamond Monster Fusion (PCI and AGP), Voodoo 3 3000, Voodoo 4 4500, ATI Radeon 7500, and now the 8500.

There's no reason to be on the bleeding edge of technology unless you want bragging rights, or you absolutely have a need for it (a real need, not a want). Whenever I upgrade anything, the older components just get moved to another computer. The only problem is that sometimes I build a computer not because I need one, but because I've got components that need a home. Usually all I have to buy is a case and motherboard. Everything else is here.

It's a pretty good deal but I want to have an AIW card but I'll hold out until the R9700 released!
