well done.
KillerG, do you speak/read German? I noticed that 3DCenter ia a German web site. (I love playing with demos and benchmarks, but my German isn't what it used to be.)
I would hope that the $$ would be a bit less, since there are many very overclockable retail Ti4200's for less than 150 out there. (mine was $160 6 weeks ago)

Nope, not a word in German has passed these lips in a long time. Too bad really. Being multi-lingual would be tres cool. Oh well...
I always use the press time MSRP for review purposes. After that, it is up to peeps to shop about. I bet their turn to be a "special" is coming too.

OK, as two readers have sent me this info I might as well share it with all. The card has indeed been spotted at newegg.com for $160 (USD).
Apparently Chosen keeps tabs on everything! ;)
This certainly does relieve my concerns about the product's availability.

So...what do you do with the video cards after you review them? :D
Want to pass one over this way? :) jk!
Great review!

Heyya GraingerGuy :)
Sure thing. What is your mailing address? j/k!
Heh heh
To be honest, I have a rather large stack of cards sitting in my office collecting dust. All the way back to a Kyro I reference board if you can believe that!!! I keep them around as long as there is a possibility that I will need them for comparative purposes in new reviews.
I do lend the cards out to several friends and neighbors as soon as I finish testing them. This serves a dual purpose as it makes me one helluva popular guy while at the same time allowing me to have a second and maybe even a third opinion of a product before I publish the review.
I only wish I could bring myself to sell them (and so does my wife!) to help recoup some of the dough I have to spend keeping my test rig up to date. But, I am such a H/W addict that I just can't do it. By the time I get tired of ogling the pile the cards are so old that they don't have much value left.

Yep, exactly like that.
I eventually sold my Voodoo3/3000 to a friend of a friend. I then sold him a Radeon 32 MB card some months later for a good deal with the agreement that I would get the Voodoo back as a trade in. He never did cough up the card. I am sad I no longer have that card for posterity. :(
