Hi, I need to edit a whole lot of ID3 tags and was wondering if there is a software to do this easier. I just got through ripping a whole lot of discs and now I want to edit the tags. Is there a program which will automate this process? I would like either a shareware or freeware program if there is one.
Thanks in advance

Wow, thanks for the quick responses. I asked Tommy the same question on the phone just now and he told me that he uses Tag&Rename also but it is really buggy sometimes and the english translation is funny sometimes. Has anyone else noticed this or could it be that he is using an older version of the program?

I have never had a problem, but I did pay for it...
Also, it all depends on the CDDB, often the CDDB is wront, therefor Tag&Rename will be wrong

Hey Dopey, is the CDDB information loaded on the CD? I use MusicMatch to rip, but it needs to be connected to the internet in order to load the CDDB... is there a way around that, or will I need to be online when I rip?

some CD's have the info on them, some don't.... so it is best to be connected to the internet @ time of rip

yup, DoPeY recommended Tag & Rename to me.. its worked great.. though I wish it would translate foreign stuff, and identify individual mp3's too.. but I guess I'm asking too much.. Hmm, that would be quite a feat now wouldn't it? to create a software that will go through all your things and name 'em correctly.. then again, the RIAA would get their hands on it, and somehow find a way to come after us with pitchforks. :hmm:

Ahh, okay... that's good to know... I was wondering why some of my CD's had the tags premade. I'm going to move away from MusicMatch for ripping though, I think it only supports 128kbs rips...
