Just ran 3DMark2001SE with the 29.80 drivers and with the new 30.00 (not 30.30beta) Detonator drivers.

29.80 = 10268
30.00 = 10521

Not too shabby a driver release.

BTW: The Ti4200 is running at 290/590...I don't know how far it will OC...

What about other benchmarks like OpenGL and Direct3D games?

I didn't have Serious Sam or MDK2 installed and I don't own Quake3.
I don't know how to bench any of the other games I have.

Code Creatures rose only about 0.2 FPS (16x12) to 2 FPS (10x7).

Here's the thing: 3DMark2001 is overrelied on. It has been for quite a while. Its only one Direct3D benchmark and doesn't mean a driver is good overall. By that I mean the driver could be good {optimized} for 3dMark but not for anything else. So it doesn't mean Direct3D and OpenGL games fps increase with image quality counting also.

I aggree. I don't know all the scripts to bench many of my games. If Codecreatures had a little compare feature like 3DMark2001, it would be the thing to use to test graphics subsystems.

For those that havne't run this demo...http://www.codecult.com/ it's vicious on video cards because (one reason) it renders thousands of individual blades of grass and leaves, amounting to hundreds of thousands of polygons a second.
