Maybe I'm just an unemployed kid that doesn't understand the value of money, but I still think it's a bargain to send something to somewhere 5,000 miles away for pennies.

Maybe Maine to Hawaii?

My pops used to mail off over 30 bills a month before I showed him how he could do it online.

30 bills x .37 cents x 12 months x 30 years is like a hundred thousand dollars! Maybe even 2! No thanks post office I'll be keepin my mutha chuckin money thank you very much!:P

yea but i remember when stamps were only 25c as well as a phone call. now everything has exploded. 37c might not seem like a lot, but it adds up.

I went in there askin' about when the next series of "Black History Stamps" was comin' out and pretty much they were only givin' me the names of the old 34 cent stamp folks...

Basically, they eventually told me that they didn't know who the next person was gonna be... and to make it worse, it ain't scheduled to come out until next year sometime. :2far:

so why do you EXPECT there to be another series of black history stamps? and then you are upset because they arent going to do it within your expected timeframe. thats ridiculous. i cant stand when people expect things just because of the color of their skin. arent we all supposed to be equal? if so, where is the series of white stamps and should i be pissed off if george washington isnt on one within the next year?

i dunno, if they came out with some asian history stamps, i'd be pretty interested in collecting them, and i'd be disappointed if they got discontinued. in my opinion, it's not a matter of if we're supposed to be all equal or not. looks to me that DF is just showing some pride in his heritage by buying/collecting these stamps. like i said, if they had some asian pride stamps, i'd think they'd be pretty cool. anyways, think of the most used stamps...the flag, the statue of liberty....those are all things american, so don't trip. then they have special collectors stamps, like the floral ones, and even the state-related stamps.

i dunno pryo...i think DF was just saying he was disappointed and that's why he's pissed...it's not just cause he's black. i don't think that was cool to say so...

He EXPECTS not another series but the next stamp in an already SERIES OF STAMPS. Your true colors have shown on your post PsillyPyro, and they are ugly. :2far:

assumptions are the mother of all f-ups....

i think pyro assumed to much here. for one thing i just thought DF was just collecting. i didn't know that you actually used them. but he true, know that people actually collect stamps, people at the PO should know what the sheezy is up.
