You Think A Gallon Of Gas Is Expensive?
Makes one think, and puts things in perspective:
Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ---- $10.32 per gallon
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 -- $9.52 per gallon
Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 -------- $10.17 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ----- $10.00 per gallon
Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ----- $33.60 per gallon
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 ---- $178.13 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 ----- $123.20 per gallon
Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 --------- $25.42 per gallon
Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 ---------- $84.48 per gallon
...and this is the REAL KICKER......
Evian water 9 oz for $1.49 -- $21.19 per gallon
$21.19 FOR WATER! ....and the buyers don't even know the source.
So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on
water,
Scope, or Whiteout, or God forbid, PEPTO BISMOL or NYQUIL!!!!
Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the gas
pumps.

Yes... but when you need Nyquil or Pepto you really need it... gas isn't needed. It's a byproduct of kerosine manufacture. Alcohol from hemp or corn stalks could do the same job with much less polution. But then the giant chemical and oil companies whouldn't have anything to do with their byproduct... or their huge amount of lobbying cash...

i am all for flexfuel vehicles. we need more stations to carry the e85. i had a ranger for 2 years that could use it, and i had never found a station close to me that carried the e85. i would gladly buy it if it was available.

ive seen this one before but the one thing that is really messed up is the water. i dont understand how people can pay so much for water. i personally dont like the taste of bottled water but others prefer it. in some cases bottled water is little more than tap water. i remember a post where someone said that they got some bottled water that said the source was a municpal water supply. ive also seen news reports which say that bottled water may actually be less benifical due to the fact that they sit still for so long that some of the oxygen in the water escapes which makes the water less healthy than tap water

EDIT: pagemap was the one who found water bottled from the st louis water supply. link (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=35654&perpage=30&highlight=bottle*%20water%20municipal&pagenumber=2)

Screw Evian and Gatorade... I'm drinking gasoline from now on! :P
Most of the others would get dramatically cheaper if you bought them 10-20 gallons at a time.
Much of the price of any small-volume product like the ones listed goes to packaging. On some products, the packaging costs more than what it contains. Something like gas has no packaging. That helps keep the cost down.
over the years, gas is one of the few things that hasn't been affected by inflation at the same rate as other products. i'm sure that doesn't make anyone here feel any better, but it's true :P
anyhow, count me as hoping that one car that gets hundreds of miles to the gallon becomes available to the average person soon. even if it isn't quick, if the person next to you has one too it wouldn't matter :D

If I could afford one I would buy one!

I think it's odd that people are complaining about gas prices but at the same time, it's the HUGE SUV's that get some of the worst gas milage that are selling like crazy..... something doesn't make sense.

i agree :stupid: thats true.... but also... compared to the rest of the world... were already paying very little for gas... in europe and asia its as much as 4 to 5 bucks per gallon... and we get all whiney when its around a 1.50 or close to there... just think of it as this way... "somewhere... someones paying more than me! looks like i get that pr0n vid ive had my eyes on..." o wait... disregard part two of that statement ;)

Thats ok- less for them, more for us. :bigmouth:
