In a word - WOW! This is NOTHING like my stint at M$. It's a beautiful corporate campus, a cafeteria with good food (subsidized even!), a dry cleaning service, barber, masseuse, gift shop, AND our own Starbucks! :D

I've been listening in on some phone calls, and everyone has been real friendly. Nothing at all like the b*tchy people that would call M$ for help (or just to gripe).

So far, OC likes! :D

ps - I'm half tempted to have these people call me OC :) heh

Oh! I almost forgot - I have a view! :D We're all in cubicles here, but I'm on the end right by the window, and my cube wall IS a big window!

I am SO stoked...

I'll shut up now so I don't jinx it ;)

I'm working at the "corporate help desk", so I'll be taking tech support calls from offices around the country.

I have about a week of training ahead before they let me loose on the phones.

maybe he was referring to another way to "goof off" rather than posting on forums.. :hmm: but hey, whatever floats your boat :)

Four people on my team today all said that this is the easiest job in the world. They'd have to go quite a ways to win that title from my last job, which I loved for the most part. I didn't get any bad vibes from anyone, unlike my first day at M$ back in '00.

So far, so good. :D

That's awesome OC. Sounds like it'll be a sweet place to work. :) I'm sure all the hot ladies are leaving snail trails around the office now that you're there.

thats sweet man good job getting the job. i hate manual labor but thats what im doing now for work oh well no big deal its money.

:heh: That friggin gross UT I like it. :thumb: Congrats on the job OC I'm glad to hear that you got the sweet hook up. From the sounds of it that place is like a little city almost, so I bet they want to keep their emps happy. Just work hard and you'll do fine.

The real question is not how nice the place is though, it's how fast your connection is (http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/) ;)
