i have a pack of louis rich oven roasted chicken breast cuts. I threw a few chunks into the microwave on a paper plate, and turned on my microwave... all of a sudden, i heard sparks from the microwave, like there was a piece of metal in the microwave. But there was only the chicken on a paper plate. I didnt cover the chicken with a towel...forgot to.

Any of you heard anything similiar to this???

darn it.... i gotta stop reading posts about food 1:49 in the morning...::stomach grumbles::

...Do you have a dirty microwave? Like, if ya don't clean the top of the insides, or the food on the bottom of the revolving thingie, it sometimes makes funny noises while you're heating up food.

did you hear sparks, or see them, cause chicken pops when cooked in a microwave

i heard sparks, then looked carefully and saw blue sparks comming from the chicken???

the directions did say cover the chicken :D

i recently cleaned the moicrowave...i also tested the microwave by nuking a cup of water thinking i might of gotten some water where it shouldnt be, but no sparks then?

blue sparks? geez, what kind of microwave do you have? One of those supernukers they have in fast food restaurants? hehe :P

my thoughts exactly... it might have some metal things that ppl tagged them with and didn't take off :shrug: how it taste :P

How much chicken was it? If there wasn't very much then there wasn't enough to absorb (???) all the microwaves and it will spark just like it would if you ran it empty. If you're microwaving just a small amount of food, put a glass or cup of water in with it--should stop the sparks and keep your microwave from getting ruined :thumbup:
