Here is the deal:
Fry's (Houston) has the Visioneer 5800 for $39.99 - Good only today and tomorrow. The ad is on page 5A of the Chronicle.
OfficeMax carries these for $79.98. Pricematch them with Fry's and there is also a $30 mail in rebate at OfficeMax for this scanner.
Here is the math:
$79.98 - $39.99 = $39.99 - $6.00 (115% difference) = $33.99 - $30 mail in rebate = $3.99 before tax/shipping.
I'll be picking one of these up this afternoon.
