one of my favorite sites to visit was:
http://www.metsonline.net/
simple cause I'm a mets fan, and it was a great site with a good forum and good news.
however, MLBPUNKS decided to put an end to the site.....to get more money i guess....

punks...
it's such a weak argument in terms of the cybersquatting accusation, simply because the site owner was providing quality content, and no mention of selling the domain.

ugh, i hate those stupid people who try to stop anyone from running a private fan site "just because"
how fcuking long will it take these assclowns to figure out that sites which INFORM, ENTERTAIN, and INTEREST fans in their teams, events, etc will ENHANCE their revenue?!?!?
i do not understand where people get the bass-ackwards logic that a site that discusses a copyrighted entertainment product (whether it be a movie, a performing artist, a sports franchise, etc) and gives fans more information about that product will somehow DECREASE fans' overall interest in that product and hurt sales of that product.
i just hate that....it is so stupid. if there are fans out there who like to read even more than what you provide on your website, then let them. i'd bet it will make them come to more games, etc.
and it's not like the guy had registered nymets.com, newyorkmets.com, mets.com, thenewyorkmets.com, etc etc etc.
first of all, it was a .net address, which is NOT what the average person is going to type into their browser when they're randomly trying to come up with a url. and metsonline isn't exactly what i would think of if i was trying to figure out what their address might be in my head
as if we needed ANOTHER reason to hate the greedy bastards at the MLB

Sigh. I like baseball, but why do the owners (and players) have to be so flippin' stupid these days?
If the strike happens, they'll need all the fans they can hang on to. Angering them more right now is probably not the best solution.
