i'd go for the hard drive... you can always use extra space.

check out www.iriver.com for cool cd/mp3 players.

I'd spend it on one of those wonderful "service contracts" they always try to push down your throat.

On a related note, I always like to put super-unleaded in rental cars :P

Yeah, mojo's idea is good. I once sold a $5 Burger King gc for $4.88 after shipping on eBay. I just don't like going to Circuit City and paying full retail price on stuff. :|

i would say spend on something that does not really go down in price or sale or is same price no matter where u go (or almost same price)..

if u don't have a cd player in your car then a burner might not be so good unless u don't have one and are in dire need to get stuff off your drive. if only b/t those choices u have then i would say either hdd or burner... both always have sales in other stores though... other suggests are cd cases, mouse, vid cards/sound cards...
