I found this deal researching for another thread...

EMS Computing (http://www.emscomputing.com) has the Logitech Z-560 Speaker system for only $122. They also show FREE GROUND SHIPPING on this 48lb speaker package--almost unheard of!

These speakers ROCK!!! If you've never heard them, the bass is unbelievable! I bought mine from EMS Computing and they shipped fast with no problems (I paid almost $20 more for mine a couple months ago...:( ). They have fairly good ratings on Reseller Ratings (http://www.resellerratings.com) as well.

EDIT: The free shipping shows as today only... Don't know when it will end. I think the shipping on mine was about $15...

Fair Warning!

Do not order from emscomputing.com -- check resellerratings first. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with an online retailer, and after being charged for two sets of speakers, and then having the wrong order cancelled on me, and NO human contact from them all week - I have given up on them. Paid $139 instead from 2buystore.

ALSO -- Tico was right, the price changed today to $152 -- a typo maybe? They decided not to honor the $122 price and screwed me over instead.

Wow, I guess I got lucky with my order. I received it about 3 days after I ordered. Wonder what is going on there, since when I looked on their website at the time of the deal posting it showed that they had over 3000 units in stock (which I thought was a ridiculously high number...:dodgy: ) I guess they get crossed off my short list of decent internet vendors...:hmm:

I placed 2 orders from EMS in the last week, the first on 7/28, the other on 7/31. I was charged for both, and today I got the same email as dbax. Of course, the email doesn't mention which order was cancelled.

Also, one of my orders was an Antec SX630II for $65 w/free S&H. There were 232 in stock on 7/28 (found the screenshot I took - apparently I anticipated some probs w/this order ;-) and 55 avail now - but when I checked the price tonite, it is now $77.49 and S&H is 18.60 for a total of $96.09.

Anyone else actually charged for an order that EMS has cancelled, and does anyone have any suggestions for recourse? Then again, I'd settle just to have them ship what I ordered for what they charged...

Me too.
1) "we don't charge til it ships" sure thing.
2) My orders didn't even go through, still charged (after they were cancelled).
3) Kept it for 5 days like you (charged 2 days after the cancellation too), which caused 3 checks to bounce.

Luckily I've never bounced and my bank knows it - they thought it was weird for it to happen to me, so they credited back all the fees.

I will NEVER EVER buy from EMS again, and I'm leaving even more bad feedback on resellerratings. :angry:
