i don't usually spend more than a day when we used to road trip to vancouver...but it's usually a fun time. i've obviously never seen the night life cause we're usually gone by that time. but i know the parks are kinda nice, that's all i can remember (i was kinda young)....

Vancouver, BC or Vancouver, WA?

Either way, no - the drive is too long just for free lodging. It's like 3 hours to either Vancouver from Seattle.

What would you be doing in Vancouver? If you just want to be there for a day, then stay in Seattle. But if you wanted to more then a day's worth of stuff, then stay in Vancouver.

If you have any specific questions about Vancouver, I could probably answer them.

i'd want to spend at least 2 days in seattle and 2 days in vancouver, BC. i didn't know it was like 3 hours one way. i'll look into lodging.

i6s1, what are some like cool spots to check out?

It depends on what you're into. There's clubs, the parks, campgrounds, golf, shopping, lots of Asian stuff, bike trails, hiking. Have a look at http://www.travel.bc.ca/ and http://www.tourism-vancouver.org/docs/visit/index.html . You missed the Vancouver Indy, it was last weekend. I can't believe only 6 cars finnished.

I've made that drive many times and it's more like 2 1/2, less if you have light traffic and/or stretch the speed limit a little. That's including a few minutes at the border (shouldn't be more than 10 minutes on a weekday, could be more on a weekend).

Seattle to Portland is around 3 hours, maybe a shade less.

Oh you have to go to that science museum with the human maze inside. And if you're into outdoor/garden stuff, head to victoria gardens.

I did encounter some attractive girls when I was in Vancouver. Maybe I'll go up there for a couple days to get away from this hellhole that is called Los Angeles.

well, i'm probably not going to go anymore. friends don't seem interested in going. so i might spend a couple of days fishing at lake tahoe or crater lake or someplace a couple of hours away. thanks for the suggestions though. i see where brain's mind is at though... heheh :D
