tonight was the 2nd time i hit the "empty" button on the bulk mail folder. of course, they put the link right above the empty trash link just to confuse you. and the events woulda been fine and dandy, but both times i just happened to have some spam that may have been useful (hey, it happens for me about 1 out of every 50 or so pieces of spam). not to mention that sometimes my friends will send me real mail and it will end up there, just for added excitement.
in the past all i woulda had to do was hit the back button on the browser, go into the folder, and the message would still be readable. nope...not no more! their security is surprisingly tight on junk mail. of course, one could (hypothetically speaking, not that i would know) crack your password using various tools if they were so inclined...but just try to get a piece of erroneously deleted mail back. no way, buddy boy!
sure, it looks all pretty and innocent, but it's all a ploy. they're up to something :dodgy:
