Gaaah they're filling up my junkmail folder in my hotmail account and THEN HOTMAIL DECIDES MAYBE ITS GOOD TO DELETE MY OLD EMAILS TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE 313 kb emails i've been gettting.
Dammit. stupid spammers die!
there is a particular reason i don't use hotmail. :) or any mail free mail service for that matter.

Heh. 313K... what a pain!
That's one of the things I like about KMail, the email program I use. It's got a "bounce" option that returns the email, appearing to be a "message undeliverable" error like you'd get if you sent to an invalid email address.
I'm sure most of the return email addresses from sleazy spammers are spoofed, so only rarely does the right spammer get the "bounce" message, but it's satisfying anyway just to send that bugger back out. And it does cut out the spam from companies that aren't quite so fly-by-night. A couple of bounced emails will get you off their list.

Sorry, it's a Linux app, not a Windows program...
Oh, and be careful, there's a Windows program called KMail too, which is completely unrelated to the Linux KMail.
Though if you look, there's probably some Windows email program out there that will do the same thing... but I have no idea what it might be.

That's nothing my hotmail gets 45 spams every 12 hours. If anyone wants to know how to stop baldness, what mortgage rates have fallen to, how to repair credit, add inches to the old penis, lose weight, buy steroids, or where to meet young hot teens just let me know. These spammer seem really locked in on me. :(

A few months ago I had a problem with somebody spoofing our domain at work. I was getting hundreds of "undeliverable" messages a day. Then somebody recommended Mailwasher (http://www.mailwasher.net/) to me, a few weeks of use later, I maybe get a handful a week now. It's really simple to use (simple enough for me and that's saying something :) ).
I don't think it's quite the same thing as KMail but it does the same job.
