In the town where I grew up in Central California, a woman was killed by a mountain lion back in 1991 (I think). She was running on one of the many fire roads int he area and the mountain lion ambushed her and broke her neck. They eventually got it, but a bunch of redneck morons also killed 2 other mountain lions in the process because they were out 4-wheeling and saw one ("Look out Ned! it's coming right for us!").

That old man is a badass! You know if his grandkids didn't think he was a god before, they do now.
Despite extensive wounds, Parker managed to walk about a mile for help.
He gets mauled and still manages to get a mile of cardio in afterwards. :wow:

You're right man I am a wuss compared to the old timer in this story. You never know what you can do when faced with situations like that. Although I know I could have taken the dog out if I had to, but luckily the owner was there and within range to grab a hold of the mutt.
I still feel no harm no foul though. I'm still a little traumatized to run at night, so I've made some changes on when I run. Other than that, I've got a pretty cool scar to show off. Works well with the ladies :naughty:
