Okay, I need to get perky...

I've been feeling run down lately. I know I might be doing a little much, but I can't stop now!!!!

I've been taking iron (i tend to be slightly anemic) and a multivitamin (I can only handle one-a-day, the others taste sooo bad). I was wondering if someone has used ephedra or any other stimulants that you can get from the health food store.

I do drink coffee, too. Not helping.

Drop the coffee. Avoid the health store stuff. Jog/run for about 15 to 30 mins every morning.

WHAT-Ever!

I said I want to wake up, not be put to sleep...

Anyhow, I am running (4x a week)...just not in the morning...I'm not a morning person. That's when I have my coffee, first thing. I think its the sugar that might be draining me. But I sometimes feel like I can't keep my eyes open here at work. And I'm not bored. Hopefully this runners high (instead of runners drain) will kick in soon...its been a month.

sugar = bad
caffeine = bad
refined carbs = bad

All of those spike your blood sugar and make you tired once their effects wear off. Eat less in the way of sugars and starches and eat more often -- have several snacks throughout the day. It's tough to quit sugar and caffeine, but once you're over the hump you'll feel much better.

What kind of running are you doing?

Maybe try a faster pace and run for a shorter period of time. Wind sprints are always good, though they can be painful. :D

If welfareloser were around, she would say SOBE! :D

The little cans of Sobe Adrenaline, that is.

I'm running at a slower pace, but a longer amount of time. I wanted to start off that way so I don't get shin splints (now that's painful). Plus, trying to burn off some fat. I'm just not eating the right things or something. Cause I do sleep. But I still think I need something (other than caffiene) to pep me up during the day, cause my work can't lag.

Anyway, here's my diet...Sat - chicken bowl from Sushi Boy at 1 pm (no, no breakfast, not even coffee), 12am (wait this is Sunday) Chicken wings and a waffle. Sunday - a popsicle at 3pm (I WASN'T hungry :shrug:), half a bean and cheese burrito and a carmel macchiato at about 6pm.

I need to stop that if I think I'm going to start getting some mileage in. Oh, but I do take supplements!! I don't know what I'm doing to myself, I'm never THAT bad.

...oh yeah, it's also that time of the month...sorry, guys...

Since she isn't, I will :) It helps me get through work at night (if the natural adrenaline isn't going ;) )

I did the bad ephedra for a few days and it made me really jumpy and nervous. And crabbie :hmm: ...

I was drinking ... Beta Blast from GNC. The warning on it basically said, if you have ever been sick or anyone in your family has had cancer or heart problems or such, don't drink it.

like others, i'd say get off the coffee...

if what you wrote above is typical, then you really also should make yourself eat with "normal" meals. breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Eat breakfast - every day. Keep working out 3-4 times/week. Get 8 hours sleep every night.

Repeat for a couple of weeks, and you'll be fine.

wow, sounds like my diet/routine.

i absolutely NEED coffee first thing in the morning at work - or else...

like yesterda, i was thinking, ok, no coffee today - just try to do it man!
and well....by noon, i was so tired, i slept on the park benches outside during my lunch break... :(
i'm a bum :P

anyways..yeah - i don't use sugar in my coffee, and i now drink strictly diet sodas - no sugar...soo....yeah....errr, i eliminated one thing in me. now, i need to figure out some times to excercise.
