does anyone know how to make virtual cd drives? if i recall correctly, someone pointed me to norton ghost awhile back but i never checked up on that. any suggestions? thanks

Use google and search for the above subject line-there are tons of freeware progs and a few shareware progs that do this. Your best bet are the ones that use isos or bins and mount early to trick windows into think they are real CDs.

i use daemon tools. it uses a cd image to work and emulated safedisc. do a search for it

I love D-tools. Especially being my home dvd player wont play the svcd codec I use for encoding, so I can watch the svcd on my comp using a virtual dvd drive. So very nice.

So very nice. maybe im not seeing the problem here, but why dont you just run the svcd from your cd rom drive on your computer using windows media player?

Tried that didnt work for some reason. I installed PowerDVD and it still wouldnt work off a cd rom. I think I'm going to need a dvd rom drive to do it that way. I still have 15 gigs free on that drive so I'm in no rush.
