i'm back. ya'll miss me.

Since i was away i got engaged!!!!!! I was going to announce it last friday but i wasnt able to post.

Now time to start catching up....

i told her i refuse to make any dates or plans until after i graduate in december. I need a real job before i can worry about that stuff.

Congrats and welcome back. It's something when religion and political belifs can be overlooked but OS is a dealbraker.

hehehe yep, she did the full switch before i did. She is an iBook user, and she just loves it. She had some real bad PC experiences. She ordered a custom built system 2 years ago that showed up DOA. The company she bought it from then gave her crap saying it worked and refused to refund her money. Finally we got it back after the BBB got involved.

She then decided to go preocnfigured (against my will), and bought a compaq. It was an ok system. Had plenty of features that many systems at the time didnt have (DVI port onboard LAN), but it had some real issues with retaining settings. After many reformats and close encounters with a hammer, she decided to sell it and try out the iBook. She uses the thing constantly. She loves the 802.11, its size, weight, battery life, ease of use, and stability.

edit: as a side note, she always reminds me that i used to rag on macs, and she also wasnt influenced by me in anyway to buy a mac. she bought it while we were having some problems and had a month off from each other.
