For Sale: 1998 Yamaha YZF-600R
600cc sportbike with 13,000 miles in near perfect condition, runs great, brand spanking new rear tire (could have fixed the nail hole but replaced the whole tire). Not a single problem with the bike. It pulls very, very hard all the way up to redline, shifts smooth, and has never leaked a drop of anything or used any oil.
You would never guess it by looking at the bike now, but a few days after I pulled the bike out of storage at the end of april the good ol Wyoming wind blew my bike over, then another bike landed on top of mine (body slam style) breaking the mirrors, handlebars, brake/clutch levers, blinkers, fairings, and footpegs, scratching the exhaust pipe and side cover. Everything has been replaced (not repaired) that was broken/bent/scratched except for the aftermarket exhaust pipe. The only cosmetic damage to the bike as of RIGHT NOW is a 5mm crack around a screwhole on the upper fairing (have to look for it to find it), a few hardly noticable scratches on the underside of the exhaust slip on, and the smallest dent on the inside of the slip on where the slip on came in contact with the upper rear brake caliper bolt. Other than what was mentioned here, there is NO OTHER cosmetic damage. I can provide as many pictures as you wish upon request. This is the only time the bike has ever been down.
Some specs on the bike:
4 cylinder, 16 valve, DOHC, ram air, four carbs, 13,200rpm redline, six speed gearbox, upright riding position, very nice seat, 52mpg on the highway, 5.0 gallon fuel tank. At an elevation of 8000 feet above sea level the bike topped out at an indicated 155mph.
It is a great beginners bike, tons of power on tap but extremely tame until you ask for the power. With a wide, soft seat and more upright riding position 400 mile days were not a problem.
I am asking $3800, I can meet you anywhere in eastern wyoming or east colorado as far south as denver. I'd even meet you at the Denver international airport for you to ride the bike home. I'd even take you playing at the 1.4 mile road course 10 miles from the airport on the bike. =)
