HEY! I think your hair is beautiful! It looks like it's in good condition, not too frizzy or with a ton of splits..If you ARE going to cut it though-may I recommend donating your hair to LOCKS FOR TOTS..they can always use hair for the wigs for the cancer kids..and they only take 12 inches or more. Man I wish my hair looked like that!

Cut 'er down to a 1/4 inch and you don't have to wash it, just vaccuum it every couple of days... :P

LOL thats funny. I too thought that was a neck at first.
I know you said no mullets, but you need to do it for a least a day since you already have the hair. Take some pictures and post them. Then shave away.

I say just slightly longer than shoulder length.
My hair almost got down to my shoulders..then it got nappy and hard to manage, and it was hard to do kendo w/ that type of hair (got all over the place), so now I keep it short.

Start whacking and hacking, you hairbag.
In all seriousness, if you're going to get it cut short, there are charities that "harvest" hair for the purpose of helping out kids with cancer and other disorders that affect hair. You may wish to look into this. It would be a neat contribution to be able to make for someone who may need it.

if you DO cut it off, donate it to charity like faither mentioned. They make real wigs for kids and others going through KEMO (sp?) therapy.
It'll make you feel better about cutting it off.

*sob, sob* I had hair like that until a year ago TODAY! Damn man, now I am missing it. I actually still have all that hair in a ziploc bag, which I was going to sell, but have never gotten around to it.
I can tell you, its horrible and wonderful at the same time when its lopped off. I mean it takes 2 secs to wash my hair now and almost no time to style it. Compared to the half hour or more I had to comb out my hair and the god knows how long it took to wash it.
That said, I still miss the feeling of my hair flying through the air behind me when I am speeding around as well as the other things that I used to do with my hair.
So just weigh the options and do what is right for you. I cut mine for professional reasons, but otherwise I would have kept it.

Well, I already told you my opinion...shoulder length and wavy. Kinda sexy, and can still do a ponytail. Then all you need is a nice gotee.

Here's another hair donation organization.
Locks of Love (http://locksoflove.com/)
Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children across the U.S. under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss.
We meet a unique need for children throughout the United States by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.
