If you played once in your life you don't count .... and no twice doesn't count either, i mean seriously people who play at least once a week or every other weekend or something. I just want to see if maybe we can get paintball deals going

I used to be a serious paintballer unitl I lost both of my eyes. You can't really play without your eyes so I stopped. I think all in all I played a total of 4 times. Now that's some serious stuff.

I used to go at least 1-2 times a month for about 2 years. I went mostly as a walk-on and the players were pretty good (and not *******s, either). Then a bunch of choads started coming and my time started getting stretched into other pursuits so now I only go as part of groups. I've been out twice in the last 10 months or so.

I haven't gone lately because the last time I went I got hit in the head, just above my mask and armor from 6 feet away by a guy who turned up his gun on purpose. I had a huge contusion on my head that didn't go away for 4 months. He got busted afterward for shooting in excess of 325fps and was escorted off the premesis. He was pissed off from a previous game because I got him from about 150ft away with a heavily modified tippman 68 carbine. He yelled at the ref that I turned up my gun and was shooting hot. My heavily modified tippman can't shoot hot because if I shoot over 290 my paint starts going everywhere but straight. Needless to say, when they clocked my gun it was only shooting 270 (it shoots really nice, straight and quiet at 270). What can I say? He had a $1500 gun and was being outplayed by a $350 gun.

If we started getting groups together here in L.A. I would seriously go. I've got 3 guns right now (plus a semi-auto pistol for those all-too-common close encounters). I just don't like playing those 100-on-100 walk-on games anymore.

SC is definitely one of the best places to go, but there are a few good alternatives near there. I haven't played at Tombstone in over a year, but that was a pretty decent place - especially with the two decently-sized trench fields they had. Their house-field was better than Beirut at SC (in my opinion).

Some of SC's new fields (in the last couple of years) are a welcome edition but they are leaning more towards the speedball-type of game that I tend to stay away from. Speedball is a great way to waste a lot of paint and feel really cramped. I like larger field games a lot more because of the better cover and camouflage possibilities.

when we were younger we had laser tag guns and would run around the setrres and play. But these were the toy`r`us guns and I think it is a lil dif then when you go to a arena...

I just don't know of many around me... I think I need to look again and get some people out and "tag" each other

Well the only thing you have to do is not get hit! :P

I once got tagged right in posterior by my own team (because I was too far forward and running for cover - they couldn't see my armband). My wife (girlfriend back then) couldn't stop laughing when I asked her how bad it was - a perfect quarter-size bruise right in the middle of my left cheek. :heh:
