my auction on ebay for the ms flight sim. i won't link to it so it's not a sales thread...but i was wondering about it for a couple days, cuz i didn't put a reserve on it and it was stuck at 1 cent. i know about proxy bidding where it can shoot up ( :hihi: ) at the last minute n stuff, so i wasn't too worried. but i was concerned because i'm a new seller there really, so i don't have a rating and i know sometimes people go by that.

but i'm at $15+ right now, plus shipping...so i'm good.

i have a couple things up now, and since i'm getting rid of everything, i'll have stuff up regularly.

to make this thread productive...maybe the ebay regs can give some pointers :D.

I would never buy anything from a guy with only a couple of ratings. (Unless its you :) )Buy a bunch of cheap stuff you would have bought anyways at a store. Once you get 20+ you will get a lot more $.

I just started doing eBay, it is a learning process. I am still in the learning stage! But so far I think I am doing good!

i've actually bid on stuff before, but not sold. and when i bid on stuff, i was actually smart enough (not) to use other peeps' accounts to boost their ratings. i guess i never thought i'd get into it. but it looks like i will be getting into it more now.

If you can get pictures of the actual items you're selling (instead of promo pics found online), it'll make the buyer feel more comfortable. Oh, and check out my auctions too. Same name as here on G|A. :)

i only have a few ratings, but ive been registered on ebay since 99. people also check how long youve been with Ebay, so in a way that helped me.

free shipping - buyers LOVE it when its included in the total auction.

as for the pictures...i wonder if it would help if i stand in front of a reflective item and take a pic in the nude :eek:

dammit! I'm actually pretty broke right now, just paid a $300 some credit card bill with little to spare in the bank. Uhm... got a dreamcast from ebay 2 days ago for $49 shipped. That and a broken motherboard. I guess I've reached this point in life where everything just starts to bore me and I need to add new things in life to keep my going.

welp, it went today for $16.50 plus $6 shipping. i sent it priority, so make that like...$18 otd.

my first sale...i'm pretty happy with that :)

i'll be selling a lot of stuff soon. i dunno if it's ok to post my ebay name here or if it would be advertising...but maybe i'll link it from my webpage if not.

btw, didn't passwird or someone have a link in their sig to their ebay auctions before?

this according to the announcement at the top of the page:

No referral, auction or spam links in signatures or posts, unless it is in the Referral/Spam forum.
i think if you go there you can start a thread and list all your auctions and update them and all that stuff.

btw, i also remember passwird having an auction link in his sig, and someone else.....maybe welfare. but i guess they changed the rules.
