the city of chicago published the top parking violators must suck to let everyone know your name, address and that you owe over 40 grand in parking tickets

True, but it just shows how stupid the city is to not have some kind of system that would run the plates of parking violaters, so they could impound the cars and recover some of that money. I mean if someone has 100+ parking violations, they are going to do it again.

I'm sure someone will find a way to sue over it. :shrug: at first i thought the same thing, but these people broke the law. same as in the police blotter in local papers, thier names and addresses are published along with thier crime. i guess the city is trying to shame these people into paying thier fines

Easy, if your in a parking constrained city like SF, NY or Chicago, just park in a metered lot or in a no parking zone. If all they do is give you a ticket, just ignore it and you have primo free-parking.

Evidently, Chicago does not do a good job of towing/booting etc...so there is no deterrent.
