You can use your online gift credit you got for the grand opening of BestBuy.com to purchase the physical gift cards from the site and have them sent to you, with free shipping.

This might be nifty if you want to buy something at the B & M or don't want to pay shipping on your BB purchase. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif

Just an FYI.

Or you can order something online, and pick it up at a B&M BB. That is the only thing I like about that site.

I'm not following. Maggie said you COULD use them for GIFT CARDs and the last post said it's NOT VALID!?! http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/eek.gif

Stack them!?! I haven't even received one yet and I was one of the first to sign up. Guess they're doing them LIFO.

Thats rather odd. I ordered a gift card with my $20 online credit and my total is $0 in the confirmation e-mail. Hmmm guess we'll see if it goes through.

What is B&M?

I figure it's something to do with the physical location of a store, but I can't piece together the B and the M.

Got an e-mail from BestBuy.com saying there had been a "problem" with my order and it has been cancelled. Was anyone else able to order a giftcard with their credit?

I ordered a gift card with my online gc and at check-out it was $0 and my confirmation e-mail was $0 but I checked my bank statement and was charged by best buy for $20. And I have yet to recieve some type of acknowledgement from best buy. Guess they got some problems since the online store just opened.

I didn't read the fine print... guess I was wrong. Our order went through and confirmed at $0 so I thought it worked. Sorry.

(It was actually my husband who told me about this..... I'm going to have to kill him now.)

True the confirmation email shouldn't have gone out if nobody checked the order, but it was automated - so it's a weakness on their part. But it still says that you can't buy GCs, so they got you on the fine print issue.

I'll wait for a good DVD to come out and pick it up at a B&M store. Hmm, haven't even looked at their site really other than for VCRs....

I made a purchase last night (over 12 hours ago)- a DVD - and in my confirmation email it subtracted the $20... Blues Brothers SE for $9...

I tried to get myself a $20 gift card with the $20 sign-up. The order went through fine.. got a printout "saying cost=$20, credit=$20, total cost=$0" but it looks like BestBuy tried to bill my cc afterwards for the $20 instead. Good thing I used a webcertificate (has only $1 on it).

BestBuy cancelled the order saying there was a "failure to obtain full credit authorization." WTF? This is a Staples move.. charging cc's like this. What's the purpose of a confirmation e-mail if they don't abide by it?

Let the flaming commence..
