View Full Version : Winamp 3.0

Went final so I downloaded it. It opens up and looks amazing. I fool around with it and I really like it. I close it then open it like 20 minutes later. When I reopen it an error appears and it wont open. I uninstall and reinstall. Same thing. I give ip and go back to 2.8.

yeah, i got it too but since i can't use dfx and my favorite skin with it yet i'm sticking to 2.8

im still using 2.8 cause uh... 3.0 sucks at the moment crashed every other minute and then i closed it and the music wouldnt stop. how nice. ill wait for the bugs to be gone

That's what I'm saying. I didn't think that a respected company like Nullsoft would push such shovelware on us.

I will NEVER EVER install Winamp 3+ on my systems. There is no reason for it! Winamp 2.8 works just fine for me - and if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I've heard that 3.0 is a major resource hog and it crashes all the time. Great work there, Nullsoft! :(

I totally think thats AOL's influence, they did it to ICQ now to Winamp.

heh, i don't think aol can push them around too much. I remember when they first had nullsoft put the aol icon on the desktop (when installing winamp that is), in the history log the entry had something like this: "added aol evilness"

when i read that, it gave me the highest respect for nullsoft. :D

anyways, my 3.0 works just fine :D just a couple insignifigant bugs.

I couldn't get it to play any mp3's, streaming music or change skins. What a waste of time.:mad:

My guess is Nullsoft spent all their time/money coding the gray UI rather than actually writing the code to make it play mp3.
