roflmao, that description would make me want to give the name away along with 50 bucks. I had enough junk come through icq so that i turned off all unknown messages. It was fun at first but for the past 2 years its all been spam

how do you transfer ownership?

that's kind of a dicey thing to do... he could just cancel subscription if he wanted to

Actually, if it's an AOL thing...you can transfer just that screename over to a new account. Ain't it weird? And they can't just cancel subscription, it takes 6 months for the name to be available again.

Don't ask me why I know this...:dodgy:

Really all you need to do is give up the password. Once the new owner has the password that goes to the account, all of the personal information can be changed.

So, how much would YOU pay for the username Napoleon544 on gotapex.com? Let's start the bidding at $600...

Hey DF and Dopey- how much for a G|A? username with a 10K post count?

dude you guys dont realize how much people care about these aonames. Programs have been written to crack 3chars because they are soo uncommon. I have friends with meaningless names but they think they are cool since they are random characters but only 3 random chars. The names become even more valuable if they contain no numbers. Heh leets or eleet names a significance and are highly sought after. such as nokia or sm0keable or preludetypesh the list goes on. Just remember people put in hundred of hours into writing apps to harvst these leet names and register them. Aol also has screen name dumps every 6months or so where old names are recycled and this is everyones opportunity to pick up a sn like god or beer. Youd be amazed at how people fight over this stuff. a0haxors are nuts. Piss em off and theyll suspend your aims. lol some people have too much time on their hands. There was even a period of time where you could a sn with an indent before it. ALl sorts of crazy stuff goes into getting sns because some hax0rs think that a cool sn will impres the girls the same way it impresses their greasy hax0r friends. lol i hope this shed some light on the sn fights that occur behind the scenes somewhat i guess. Oh yeah and dont ask why i know so much about aol.
