Just thought we could get a poll on this. From a lil discussion on another thread, was wondering what all you think about make-up. I personally like a girl that doesn't wear any make-up. But thats not to say that girls that wear make-up don't gain my affection.

But I just feel that if a girl wears a whole bunch of gunk on her face, its like she's trying to be someone she isn't, and trying to hide her real self inside there.

What do you guys think?

I think that make-up to a certain extent is nice. Unfortunately some people don't know when to stop! :p

And I REALLY don't like wearing make-up....I was in a musical and I had to wear some of the stuff....BLECH!!!! :p

hehehehe....

Ok personally I don't wear make up, the most I wear in lip gloss stuff...well cuz my boyfriend doesn't like when I wear it, so I don't. And I wash my face with water thru out the day and rub my eyes often as well so it would get everywhere.....so I just don't bother with it....

In general I prefer the natural, no-makeup look. :)

An example is we went hiking about a month or so ago and it was really hot that morning like it was around 10:00 and prolly easily 100 degrees...so what does this girl do before we go out....PUT ON MAKE UP.....and then she wonders in a way why her face isn't clearning up.... :banghead: :banghead:

i vote for no make up...if any, just a lil make up...like the basics.

i hate when girls put on so much make up that when they take it off they are a completly different person. or when they have so much that it's caked on their face. that's just gross.

I used to spend a lot of time at amusement parks and it always astounded me to see girls re-doing their makeup and (even more curious) spending forever re-doing their hair inbetween rides. Meanwhile, it's 98 degrees out and the next coaster they go on is going to wreck all that work anyway. Even if you really like wearing makeup, at a place like that I just don't see the point.

Come on! They have to look "pretty." geez!

personally, I like girls with no makeup. but so long as i can't tell they are wearing make-up, i suppose it's ok :D

make up can make ladies look sexier, but its better when they wear it only a few times a year, not on a day to day basis

Some girls look absolutely beautiful without makeup. Some can use a little smidgen and they'll look absolutely fantastic. I just don't like it when it's caked on and you can see the cracks in her face because the layer of make up is so damn thick. Barf.

It all depends on the girl. If she looks hot without it then no makeup but. . . if there can be some uh "salvaging" done with a lil' max factor or whatever its a go, hehe. Damn that was sorta wrong to say oh well.:P

I think make-up worn in moderation is ok, but when it comes to globbing it on then forget it.

I don't wear it to work since it's not in dress code but going out I do wear just a little - more natural looking I would say. ;)

wouldn't a "more natural" look be a look without the powder, lipstick, etc., but one with just the "natural" beauty that you've been blessed with? (sorry, I didn't mean for that to sound like a cheesy pick-up line)

*whine* It makes my face ITCH!....the only thing I can say I do use everday is lipstick, and it's got to be the perfect shade of red or forget it...I'll go without before I use anything other than my favorite color red by clinque.

i've known girls who looked great without makeup, but once they put anything on, it actually had the opposite effect and made them look a lot less attractive.

personally, i think if a girl (or even a guy, for that matter) takes care of themselves, as far as hygiene is concerned, then no makeup just looks a lot better, a lot healthier, no matter what the girl looks like.

on a side note, i'm fascinated by that hollow plasticky noise of a girl's lipstick top snapping, or the similar sound of makeup things banging around against each other inside a girl's makeup bag as she searches for something in it.

but i gotta say have you ever seen some of the super models WITHOUT make up? Naomi Campbell, for example, saw a pic of her without any makeup and it wasn't pretty. if it wasn't for her implants she wouldn't have been a looker at all.

I'll admit, a woman with really nicely done makeup will catch my attention faster that a woman with no makeup, but that effect doesn't last long. After a few minutes, I start noticing the "makeup" more than the "woman". Kind of like when you first notice a guy has a toupee, you can't stop staring at it!

My wife wears no makeup at all and she's pretty darn good looking! Other women have said they "hate" her because she can get by without makeup. I guess that's a compliment...

Make up is ok. It could even be a good thing if done right. That being said, there are very few girls out there that put on make up right. Hint... more is NOT better. ;)

That is because a camera takes advantage of a "fake" look. If you want to look good in a picture, just put on more make up than you would normally. Of course, someone like Naomi Campbell has been wearing makeup for so long that it has probably done some serious damage to her skin.

i'm with the majority here. no make-up, or just a little bit to high-light a woman's best features, is what i'm all about.

personally, i don't notice the difference between when my GF has makeup on and doesn't have it on (she wears very little). she's just a hottie no matter what

i think it depends on the person... [girl preferably]. if you really can't stand to look at her because of lack of make-up... then yea she needs make-up. but some girls look really really good without make-up. it all depends on the girl.

but.... i'll have to go with a lil bit of make-up.
