ok, my dad brought over a very novice users laptop here to the house. unfortunately, they all use korean versions of windows which is about 20x less stable than the english version. i hate it, i hate it, i hate it. anyway, now that that's out of the way, here's the question.

i don't know what happened, but i'm getting all sorts of bsod's on the while booting up. all i've done is removed tcp/ip protocols and added them again. i'm getting locked up after a bsod taht has an error message telling me that i need to change my stacks settings in the config.sys. any one have a clue of what i'm supposed to change it to? or how to get rid of this pos laskdfj;lasdkjf;alsdkfja;sldkf. sorry. thanks

by the way, i'm trying to get this comp on our router and home network.

I got five letters for you, F-D-I-S-K. Heheh, the cure-all for all windows 98 problems, hell any windows problem.

windows 98 , its a challenge and a question at the same time,
How long can you go before having to format and reinstall?

Especialyl you since you have korean windows! Ha.

From experience, it is much easier to wipe the OS and start new than to try and deal with windows 98 TCP issues. Most likely the config sys file problem is only part of a larger problem. good luck
